A little peak at CHA

Hello fellow scrappers,

The CHA is this week-end and for those of you that are fortunate enough to attend, I hope you have a great time.  It is always exciting to see what new products the companies are coming out with and who really wants to have to wait to see them when they are in the stores and ready for purchasing.  Part of the fun is "window shopping", so here's a small peek in the window of We R Memory Makers.

We R MK will be releasing what they call the Lucky 8 Punch!

* 6 great designs (collect them all)
* Corner and border punches combined into one punch
* Easier to use than other border punches
* Stackable for convenient storage
* Ideal for 12x12 paper, but you can perfectly create unique designs with any size paper
* Corner guides for “no-guess” punching

This looks like it will be a cost efficient punch.  Personally I am still waiting for the Spellbinders Presto Punch to come on the market but this looks like an interesting option and I do like the fact that they are stackable...anything that saves space, right?!

More sneak peeks to come!
Happy scrapping!

Feedback welcome!

Hi fellow scrappers,

I noticed after checking the comments section on the blog there are only 2 comments from my followers.  I would absolutely love to receive feedback from you whether its about blog ideas, suggestions for products/web site inclusions, constructive criticism, or anything else.  Sometimes its nice to know I am not just talking to myself:)

As CHA 2011 releases new products I will blog about the stuff I plan on carrying in the Loonie4scrapbooking webstore.  If there is a product you know is being released that you are particularly interested in knowing about, feel free to ask.

There are so many companies, each releasing new products that is difficult to cover all of them.  It would be especially helpful if I received feedback about the different product lines you are interested in.  For instance, Little Yellow Bicycle will be releasing a number of lines for the Spring and Summer and pre-orders are now going in.  I know I personally like the Baby saurus and Elizabeth Park line and plan to have them available but there is also Tiny Princess, Sweet Summertime, and Twig, that I am unsure of.  If you would like to give your opinion on the Littlle Yellow Bicycle line please take a peek at   http://mylyb.com/our_collections   and tell me what you think!

I personally love BoBunny!  BoBunny is also releasing some new lines for the 2011 CHA including:  Ad lib, Blast Off, Vicki B., Timepiece and Gabrielle.  To see a sneak peek of the lines go to http://www.bobunny.com/firstcollection.html
Again, I would love to hear your thoughts on these lines.

Well thats it for this edition, so I hope some of you are at least willing to voice your opinion.  Happy scrapping!

Scrapfest is coming!

Hello there fellow scrappers,

I thought I should bring it to your attention that Scrapfest 2011 is just around the corner...ok well, the ticket sales to it are.  Scrapfest is an annual event that takes place in Ontario, Canada, each year, and this years venue is Kitchener, Ontario.  You may remember me talking about Scrapfest last year in Oshawa, well the 2011 edition is happening on the week-end of April 8-9 and the tickets are available online starting February 2nd at 8pm.

Last year was my first year to attend and I had a blast!  I learned so many new things, met like-minded scrapping enthusiasts, and shopped until the marketplace closed (both days).  You could spend half a day just doing make and takes...which is both fun and interesting.   I took 2 classes with Vicki Boutin who is a really personable and passionate teacher, and learned a few new techniques from her classes.  It was an amazing experience and did I mention that there were incredible deals in the marketplace!!!  Who doesn't love to save $$$!

So whether you are interested in taking some classes to learn some new techniques, want to shop till you drop and take home as many freebies as possible, or just want to spend a day at the crop with other papercrafting enthusiasts, Scrapfest has something for every scrapper out there!  And hey, its a week-end away with the girls, no kids, and (typically) no men:)

For more info about Scrapfest go to http://www.scrapfest.ca
The list of teachers are up but not the list of classes, though they do promise to be online shortly.  Hope to see some of you there.
Happy scrapping!

I had a wonderful holiday with my family and friends and hope everyone else had a safe and happy holiday also.  Now that the holidays are over its back to reality.  We at Loonie4scrapbooking are very excited for the challenges that are sure to come this year.

Loonie4scrapbooking is pleased to announce that we are sponsoring a prize for the site Let's Scrap http://letsscrap.ning.com/. We invite all of our followers to check out this site that is a scrapbooking community full of ideas, challenges and sketches. It is a great opportunity to connect with other fellow scrappers and showcase your creativity.  We will be sponsoring various sites throughout the year and we will keep you informed when the time comes.  Other sites we will be sponsoring include: CreativeScrappers.blogspot.com and colorfulcreations.ning.com

We plan on adding more variety to our stock for 2011, including more products directed toward cardmakers.  We also plan to hold lessons/classes for our local clientele from time to time throughout the year. We are anxious to add 2 sections to our site but we need your help to do it.  We would like to have a photo gallery to showcase your creativity and are asking you to submit via email any papercrafting projects you are particularly proud of.  We will post the picture with your first name and the city you are from. The other section we would like to add is a Testimonials section, so if you were pleased with our service, the site or anything related to Loonie4scrapbooking, feel free to tell us and we can place your testimonial on the site.
